2014 Ing's Goe World Youth Tournament Representation Selection USA

Purpose:
1. Promoting Goe and Goe Education in North America Region.
2. Selection of representation seats for Ing's World Youth Tournament.
Participant Qualification:
Youth under 16 years old by August 19, 2014 with US citizenship.
Rules of Tournaments:
1. The tournament will be conducted on line on KGS (gokgs.com) at designated time and paired by the tournament director. Tournament dates and time will be 9:00 AM & 2:00 PM Pacific time March 15 & 16, 2014. The results shall be reported immediately by email to the tournament director.
2. The tournaments will be divided by 2 sections:
SENIOR: Age 12 to 16.
JUNIOR: Age 12 and under.
3. Four rounds competition will select orders of winners.
4. Ing's Rule with black 8 points concession, no handicap.
5. Match time 45 minutes and three 30 seconds, and late for more than 15 minutes will be considered absent and game forfeited.
6. Application process starts when this announcement is made, applicants shall email an application letter and receive confirmation by email before March 10, 2014.
7. Adjustment will be made for conflicting results for representation of the World Youth tournament with option of the tournament director.

The top of the tournament results who meet all qualifications, two from each age group will meet in person at Ing's goe Foundation, Menlo Park, CA. Room and board
and airfare subsidy will be paid by Ing's Goe Foundation. The winners of each group will compete in a two day weekend match on March 29 & 30, 2014.

Sections:
a. Youth -12 to 16 years of age by August 19, 2014--- One Representative.
b. Junior – 12 years of age and under by August 19, 2014--- One Representative.

In order to encourage more youth and younger participants, representation cannot be repeated in three years period.

Prize: Certificate of Qualification, and round-trip international airplane tickets, room and board to attend and compete in the World Youth Goe Tournament of this year’s location, and all sightseeing charges during the stay at host nation. (The cost above does not include domestic airfare and fees for visa application; it neither covers any insurance cost incurred.

Application must send by email and include the following information by :

1. Full legal name in English same as government issued identification card. (Do not send ID copy.)
2. Address and email address which the applicant can be reached.
3. Telephone number.
4. Date of Birth
5. Citizenship.
6. Signatures of applicant and parent/legal guardian.

No set format is required as long as the above information is included.

Special Representation by invitation and recommendation
A new seat has been made available for the United States to have a recommended player for the Ing’s World Youth Championship. The new seat is designed to promote Goe in the US and encourage a wide range of potential candidates to attend the World Youth Championship and report back to other students in the United States about their experiences.
Clubs may send their recommendation by email to Ing’s Goe Foundation American Deadline: April 30, 2014.

Applicants must comply with the following minimum criteria:
Current US citizenship
5 kyu or above
12 years of age and under by August 19, 2014
All applicants should be recommended by an American Organization (e.g., Goe club, High School, Church, etc.) The organization must provide at least a letter covers why they think this student will help promote Goe in America by attending this event.
Each applicant will write an resume about why themselves and a brief letter of why they want to attend the Goe Championship. Each applicant will also journal their trip and writes an essay encouraging other students at their school to learn to play goe.
Minimum criteria are the same as above.
The submission shall be emailed to Ing’s Goe Foundation by and before March31, 2014.
